Failure and Discouragement in Christ.

Today, I sinned. This is discouraging to me because I do not want to offend Christ. Also, all of the voices in my head tell me that all I wish for will go awry because of one thing…that I smoke cigarettes. Now, I know Christ does not want me to do this, and many a time I felt that I would ruin many of my best laid plans to discourage the voices from their plans of destruction for many because I smoke.

Also, Ive felt that I will go to hell because of this. Now, Im pretty sure that Christ will only reject us if we reject Him. Even in our saddest state, He will be there for us…to mend us and make us whole from or pathetic state of sin. To love us with a compassion that knows no bounds.

So, what I learned today was never be discouraged in Christ. Even if everyone around you says that your not good enough, or that its crazy or lame. Do not listen to inner voices (even the voices of satan and his minions) who will tell you that their is no hope. The more you are discouraged, the harder you should persevere. As C.S. Lewis says, “Failures are just finger post on the road to achievement”.
